The James A. Thompson House is an 1870's brick Italianate house, overlooking the beautiful and historic dam on the winding Root River in Lanesboro, MN. The bed & breakfast rooms are just across from the scenic Sylvan Park with its trout ponds, shade trees, picnic areas and recreational facilities, and is just a short walk down the street from Lanesboro's historic downtown business district and bike trail.

Fishing, canoeing, or tubing can be had right out our back door, and there's a wonderfully relaxing view available from our riverside deck or the front porch swing!
